Pakistan’s Hajj 2026 Quota Almost Full as Applications Cross 1.1 Million

Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs says the response to its Hajj 2026 scheme has been overwhelming, with more than 1.14 million applications filed in less than two weeks.

Officials confirmed that an average of 14,000 people have been applying every day, and nearly 1.11 million applications are already processed. With only about 3,000 slots still available under Pakistan’s allocated quota, the window for applicants is closing quickly.

The ministry has advised prospective pilgrims not to delay and to submit their forms at designated banks immediately. Once the quota is exhausted, no further requests will be accepted.

This surge underscores the high demand for Hajj in Pakistan, where competition for limited slots regularly exceeds supply. The government typically allocates seats through a computerized draw system to ensure fairness, and a last-minute rush is common as the deadline approaches.
