Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to enhance cooperation in media, drama, and related sectors. The decision was reached during a meeting between Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, and Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Saeed Al Malki. Allama Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, the Special Representative of the Prime Minister for Interfaith Harmony, also attended the meeting.
Both parties decided to expedite the implementation of media and communication agreements between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Discussions were also held on enhancing cooperation in the field of communication. In addition, the Minister and Ambassador discussed the upcoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting scheduled for November 12.
Murtaza Solangi extended good wishes to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, as well as conveying his best wishes to the Saudi Ambassador. Furthermore, the Saudi Ambassador extended an invitation to the caretaker information minister to visit Saudi Arabia, which was graciously accepted and appreciated.
Murtaza Solangi welcomed the OIC summit convened by Saudi Arabia and affirmed Pakistan’s commitment as a founding member to contribute to the organization’s goals and strengthen it further. He expressed his appreciation for the OIC’s role in protecting the interests of the Muslim Ummah and acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s contributions in this regard. The meeting also covered various bilateral issues of mutual interest.
